THIS IS WHAT WE DID… We made very interesting clothes from nature materials. We had great team work. We presented our country with its nature, history and folklore. We made five presentations on different places with our creations.
THIS IS WHAT I LEARNED… We learned a lot of things about Slovenia while traveling around it. We learned a lot of things about the other countries that participated in the project from their traditional evenings. We learned to cook for 50 people.
THESE ARE SKILLS OF MINE THAT I USED… We used mostly our imagination, but also we used our experience in making clothes. We used some different techniques, like weaving and hand sewing. We used our communication skills, as it was really important to be in touch with the other groups and also it was a great fun to communicate with so many different people.
THIS IS WHAT THE PROJECT DID FOR EUROPEANESS… The project brought people from five different countries together. It also connects us in the idea of sustainability and reminds us that we live on one and the same planet and it is a duty of everybody to keep our nature. The project joins young people together and helps integration of the new and future members of European Union.

THIS IS WHAT WE DID… The main point in Fashion in the Forest was to created costumes inspired or made from the slovenian forest and after present the result as a fashion show in different places in Slovenia. We have also presented our country by a traditional evening with dances, power point presentations, games and a traditional dinner.
THIS IS WHAT I LEARNED… I have learned about the secrets of living in group, work in team without being alone or by ourselves for ten days. By doing that, I have learned as well about myself, my capacities, my mistakes and how to correct them, living in group give us the opportunity to improve ourselves and our entourage.
But it would be a shame to forget to talk about what I have learned about the others countries and mostly Slovenia. I have discover new landscapes by making trips around Slovenia, new cultures with the traditional evening of each country and new cuisine, which is I must say very interesting, with the traditional dinner.
THESE ARE SKILLS OF MINE THAT I USED… My diplomacy to enter in relation and live during ten days with people I just met. After this contact, began the creations, I have used my creativity to find not only ideas to created clothes, but also to incorporate the forest and to be inspired by it. My capacity to saw, to knit have also been useful during the creation part, as tool to create solid outfits that will survived for the five presentations, and we must not forget my cooking and cleaning abilities to complete the tasks we needed to do.
My ability to communicate and my open mind have been necessary to develop link with the others participants. To begin a relation without any introduction except that we are in the same project is quite hard, but once this obstacle reached and defeated, we receive the most wonderful gift a spiderweb of relations all over the world.
THIS IS WHAT THE PROJECT DID FOR EUROPEANESS… If at the beginning I have thought that everyone would have stayed in the own group, today, when it is time to say good bye, I realize how much we have all been able to discover each other. This project is a good representation I think of what should be the renewal of Europe, a cooperation of different countries to create an Europe more strong and together, or in this case to create a wonderful fashion show.
We have learned not only about other countries culture and habits in this exchange, but as well to pass over our differences to communicate something not with the tongue, but with the heart.
